About Me
Hi, my name is Tom McDonald. I enjoy game development and helping others learn about technology. I have over 20 years of experience in IT, where I’ve built all sorts of websites and tools. Recently, I’ve also started developing my own video game called Last Stand, a Zombie Defense Game. If you are into Zombie games, please be sure to Wish List on Steam.
I’m excited to share my knowledge of game development through this blog. I hope you will find my posts informative and helpful.
I plan to write tutorials on Unity, general game development information, and review tools and resources to help you build your games. I’m also excited to share my experiences developing my game, Last Stand, and answer any questions you may have about game development.
I believe that everyone has the potential to create amazing games, and I want to help you achieve your game development goals.
Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to sharing my journey with you.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I am also into health and fitness, and a few years back, I lost over 40 lbs. I had the idea to apply the principles of design patterns I had learned in computer programming to weight loss. I decided to share what I learned in my book, A Programmer’s Design Patterns for Weight Loss, and its companion website, weightlossdesignpatterns.com.
When I’m not coding or working out, I love spending time with my family and exploring new places through travel. I am passionate about helping others achieve their technology or health and fitness goals.
